Woodstock - 40 years of peace and music

My first three Woodstock designs were so well received, that I was asked to create three more, specifically referencing this as the groundbreaking festival's 40th anniversary. "40th Anniversary" felt too... cold and corporate for the history festival, so instead I rebranded the classic slogan "3 days of peace and music" into "40 YEARS of peace and music", which I felt was much more appropriate.
This oversized sim process print uses the swirling colors of the 60s, along with a unique placement to attract the eye.
Working from multiple references and source images, I created this design to evoke the historical nature of the festival, but also to show that its spirit is still alive to this day.
As a way of abstracting the notion of 40 years of Woodstock, I used the famous bird logo in a repeating pattern of 40 birds, one for each year. Six color front print with single color back hip print.

As part of their back-to-school retail program, Signatures recently asked me to create three t-shirt designs for Woodstock that combined the feel of the era with modern style and production techniques.
Oversized simululated process print based on the look of vintage Woodstock posters.
Single-color oversized distressed print with red foil embellishments.
Capturing the energy of a live performance,this design will be printed with either a limited color graphic feel (blue version) or a more painterly textured style (green version)
